Girls outshine boys as CBSE Class 12 pass percentage falls to 85.20 per cent

The Class 12 results also showed girls surpassing boys in terms of overall pass percentage. According to the board results, the pass percentage for girls stood at 88.86 per cent, while for boys it was recorded at 82.13 per cent, giving girls a lead of 6.73 percentage points over boys

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared the Class 12 board examination results for 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 85.20 per cent.

This year, the CBSE Class 12 pass percentage dropped by 3.19 percentage points compared to 2025, when the overall pass percentage stood at 88.39 per cent.
