Contrary to all expectations, CCTV footage from the five-star hotel, Hotel O near the German bakery at Koregaon Park has no insights to offer in the ongoing investigations into Saturday's blast. "We have gone through the tapes and have not found any leads from it," said a senior police official who is a member of the team investigating the blast.

Not surprisingly, the Maharashtra police have broadened the scope of their investigation. The Madhya Pradesh ATS Chief, Bipin Maheshwari, confirmed that the state police were in touch with him.

"The Mumbai police are in touch with us. We are planning to question detained SIMI chief Safdar Nagori in connection with the Pune blast," said Maheshwari.

According to a Delhi police official, "The Mumbai police want to interrogate Mohammed Shahzad who was arrested by the UP ATS in connection with the Batla House encounter. Shahzad is currently under the custody of the Delhi police."
