Central Railway commissions KAVACH safety system on Solapur-Wadi section

Central Railway has commissioned the indigenous KAVACH Automatic Train Protection system on the 149.476-km Solapur-Wadi section. The RFID-based safety technology is designed to prevent train collisions, improve operational reliability and strengthen railway safety under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative

In a significant step towards modernising railway safety infrastructure, the Solapur Division of Central Railway on Thursday, July 9, commissioned the Standard KAVACH system on the 149.476-km Solapur–Wadi section.
The development marks the first-ever commissioning of the indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system in the Solapur Division and is expected to significantly enhance operational safety and reliability.
