Centre's rural poverty plan covers 10 Maharashtra districts

The Central Government has started implementation of National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) in 36 pockets across ten districts in Maharashtra.

"The Centre has allotted Rs 250 crore for initial phase of NRLM," State Rural Development Minister Jayant Patil said at a press conference here.u00a0
"We will spend Rs 5,000 crore under this scheme, which will benefit people living below the poverty," he said.
