Chandigarh’s next langar may come with a decidedly more expensive serving: an iPhone 17. Social media personality Rakesh Trehan, known as Raja D King, has announced that he will distribute ten iPhone 17 handsets in Chandigarh on September 22, describing them as “prasad”. The recipients, he said, will be selected publicly.
Trehan said the date was decided earlier than he had anticipated following online speculation about when the distribution would take place. He had initially planned to distribute 100 iPhones in Chandigarh and 200 in Mohali, but said the first event would involve 10 phones. He added that the initiative would eventually expand to 10 other cities in Punjab.
