The main purpose of Orissa Board is to regulate, Control and develop Higher Secondary Education in the State of Orissa. The administrative function of the Council commenced from 7th September 1982 at Goutam Nagar, Bhubaneswar. Then, the Council had shifted administrative headquarters to Samantapur, Bhubaneswar on 2nd January 1996. Odisha headquater is named as &ldquo;PRAJNAPITHA".
The Council of Higher Secondary Education used to conduct Class 10th and Class 12th Board exams every year in the month of March. In similar manner board had conducted Class 12th exams in March 2014.
Around 3, 25,000 students from all the streams i.e. Science, Commerce and Arts appeared for the plus two exams from that were conducted across 1078 centers. Earlier there were rumors that Orissa / Odisha Plus two result 201 would be declared on 28th May 2014 at 10 AM. However, Class 12th Result 2014 for all the streams (Science, Commerce and Arts) will be declared tomorrow i.e. 31st May 2014 at 10 AM on orissaresults. nic. in, as.ori.nic in/chseorissa and www. bseodisha .nic. in.

Students can also check their scores via SMS:
SMS,&nbsp;RESULT&lt;space&gt; or 12&lt;space&gt;ROLL NUMBER and send it to 56263.
