A female <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/world-news/article/japan-utsunomiya-captures-wild-black-bear-after-days-long-search-and-school-closures-23634465" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">bear</a> and two cubs were electrocuted to death after coming into contact with a power transmission cable that had snapped and fallen in a forest area in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur district, officials said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Saturday in the forest near Parvatipur village under the Pratappur forest range.&nbsp;
According to preliminary information, an 11 kV high-voltage power line passing through the forest snapped and fell to the ground. The animals came in contact with the live wire and died on the spot.
