In a late-night security incident in West Bengal, personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) successfully thwarted an attack on the residence of a protected political figure, highlighting the challenges of VIP security during the ongoing assembly elections.

Incident Occurs Amid Election Sensitivity

With polling underway in the state and the next phase scheduled for April 29, the law and order situation remains sensitive. According to officials, the incident took place late on April 26 near Jagdal Police Station, where BJP MLA Arjun Singh and his son, Pawan Singh - both classified as ‘Y’ category protectees - were confronted by a group of unidentified individuals.
