CJP calls off September 5 march after Centre assures withdrawal of FIRs against student protesters

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Monday withdrew its proposed protest march on September 5 after taking note of steps initiated by the Centre towards withdrawing FIRs registered against students who participated in the protest.

CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das appeared before the Supreme Court (SC) and informed the court that the organisation was calling off the planned march in view of the measures taken by the Centre to withdraw the cases against the protesting students.
