Comet ISON to come into sight this month
Updated On: 01 October, 2013 05:57 AM IST | | A Correspondent
As the comet ISON traverses towards the sun, it is expected to become visible to the naked eye in the morning sky from October end to January 2014. To overcome all the superstitions about it and to spread a word of awareness among school students and civilians, various institutes working in the field of astronomy have initiated the national campaign 'Eyes on ISON'
“Scientists do not yet know how bright the comet will become. But some of the predictions say it may become very bright indeed, with a long tail,” Niruj Ramanujam of National Centre for Radio Astrophysics (NCRA) said.
