Madhya Pradesh: Durgesh Nandini, the District general secretary of the Congress in Sheopur district has written a letter to Kamal Nath, the Chief Minister alleging rampant corruption by officials of Food department. "The Madhya Pradesh government is committed to stop the adulteration in food items but the officials of the Food department are giving protection to the adulterators," the letter written by Durgesh Nandini on Saturday read.

She went on to allege, "I have received a video clip in which food department official Girish Rajouria can be seen saying that this much amount will not be enough as we have to send money to the higher officials too." In the letter, Durgesh Nandini urged Rajouria to reveal the names of officials to whom the money was being sent and added that in one instance she had herself caught a car transporting adulterated spices and tried to reach Rajouria but the officer had not picked up her call.
