The ongoing investigation into the revaluation scam at the University of Pune revealed that the three junior clerks of the university’s examination department clearly had links with Gaus Shaikh and the accountant of Poona College, who were arrested earlier by the Cantonment police station in the alleged cash-for marks scam.

Meanwhile, Judicial Magistrate (First Class) K M Pingale extended police custody of Ramesh Shelar (43), Ashok Ranwade (44), both residents of university staff quarters, and Chetan Parbhane (38) from Ravet till January 13.
