<p align="center"><span style="font-size: 8pt">A file photo of the Indian Coffee House at Connaught Place</span></p></td></tr></tbody></table>Two months after Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's intervention stopped the 'inevitable', the coffee shop frequented by Prime Ministers is facing a lockout yet again. <br /><br />The owners of Indian Coffee House, established in 1957 at Mohan Singh Place in Connaught Place, have been asked by the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) to pay outstanding dues or vacate the premises.<br /><br />If the NDMC has its way, the Indian Coffee Workers Co-operative Society may shut down the coffee house as soon as October 1.<br /><br />The NDMC issued a notice to the coffee shop after it defaulted in paying the subsidised rent of Rs 6,000 per month since 2003 citing losses in operations.<br /><br />The management of the Indian Coffee Workers Cooperative Society will meet NDMC officials on Tuesday and a final decision will be taken.<br /><br />A consumer forum, Allied Cultural Moorings, has roped in several politicians, including the Delhi Chief Minister, to save the historical intellectual hub that was a regular place of meeting for two presidents, nine prime ministers and 24 chief ministers.</p>
