Sitamarhi: A district court in Sitamarhi has dismissed a petition seeking registration of case against Lord Rama and his brother Laxmana over banishing goddess Sita to exile in a forest, saying the issue is 'beyond logic and facts'.

Mythology says that goddess Sita was born in Sitamarhi. Meanwhile, three complaint cases have been filed in the CJM court against the complainant Chandan Kumar Singh for his 'defamatory' act against the Almighty. The CJM transferred these complaints to another court for hearing after admitting them under various sections of IPC. Meanwhile, the petitioner Chandan Kumar Singh said that he has been receiving threatening calls from right wing organisations for filing complaint against the Hindu god. He said he is going to approach Superintendent of Police Hari Prasad Sah for security in view of threat calls.
