Cross-border terrorism a matter of concern: Chidambaram

Emphasising that the 26/11 terror strikes in Mumbai was the tipping point to revamp India's security, Home Minister P Chidambaram on Monday said cross border terrorism was still a matter of deep concern as Pakistan terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) were still active.
Emphasising that the 26/11 terror strikes in Mumbai was the tipping point to revamp India's security, Home Minister P Chidambaram on Monday said cross border terrorism was still a matter of deep concern as Pakistan terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) were still active.
"Cross border terrorism is a matter of deep concern. Terrorist groups including LeT and JeM persist in their endeavours to launch terror attacks. They continue to innovate new ways and means of deniability," Chidambaram said here in his remarks while inaugurating a three-day conference of state police chiefs.
