VIDEO | Bhubaneswar, Odisha: IG Fire and Emergency Services Umashankar Dash says, "Cyclone Arnab made its landfall early this morning and due to its impact at various places, rainfall and heavy rainfall have been noticed. Wind speed has also increased, particularly in three districts, Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada, where the impact has been a little on the higher side. Around 180 places have reported fallen trees. The major impact of this cyclone has been the falling of trees and blocking of the communication network, road communication network in particular, and some houses have also been impacted by fallen trees, but no human or animal life loss has been reported. We have cleared the majority of the tree-fall blockages and cleared the roads, but at a few places, the trees are yet to be cut because big trees have fallen, and multiple teams are on the job."
