Cyclone Montha: Centre’s assessment team to inspect affected coastal areas in Andhra Pradesh

A seven-member central team will visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday and Tuesday to assess the damage caused by Cyclone Montha across six districts.

According to the news agency PTI, the Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT), led by Pousumi Basu, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, will inspect cyclone-hit areas to evaluate the extent of losses. “The Central Team will tour the affected regions for two days to inspect damages and directly interact with impacted families,” said Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) Managing Director, Prakhar Jain.
