Kumaraswamy told MiD DAY that he was against activities that harmed the wildlife and heritage value of the spot.
"I have taken a pledge to preserve the land. I will see to it that it does not fall into the hands of land sharks," he said.
The Forest Department has consistently opposed the development of the resort, which they say is on woodland.
The department has also recommended that the land be used for developing a sanctuary for long-billed-vultures that live in the area.
Kumaraswamy told MiD DAY that will be meeting officials at the Ramangar Deputy Collector's office on Wednesday to study the documents.
