Samples of building debris will be sent to the forensic department to ascertain whether adulterated and spurious cement and construction material is behind the collapse.
“The work of scrutinizing the documents of the building is going on and we are now looking for those involved with the construction work,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (zone II) Ramnath Pokle.
He informed that Sanjay Nande and Lahu Sawant will be summoned for the inquiry. Pokle added that samples of construction material like cement, iron rods and other building material will be sent to the forensic lab for a quality check as there is a fear that sub-standard material was used during construction.
