Summer is when every theatre group worth its salt ventures into children’s theatre. It is undoubtedly a challenge to attract kids, with their attention deficit and ther smartphones they are almost fastened to, so not everyone attempts it. When there’s a blockbuster movie like The Jungle Book still in running in the cinemas, what would bring children to the theatre to watch small, shoestring budgets plays that are high on energy but invariably low on funds?
