Due to the ongoing 'Delhi Chalo' farmers' protest, rail traffic on the Ambala division of the Northern Railway has been affected and some trains are cancelled, reported ANI.
According to Captain Shashi Kiran, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, the rail services impact included train service cancellations from origination station and partial cancellations.

As per ANI report, the trains which will be cancelled are: Train number 04753, Bathinda-Shri Ganganagar service, will be cancelled on February 15. Train number 04756, Shri Ganganagar-Bathinda service, will be cancelled on February 15.
Partially Cancelled Rail Services (from the originating station) includes, Train number 14736, Ambala-Shri Ganganagar service, which was supposed to depart from Ambala on February 15, will only run up to Bathinda, meaning it will be cancelled between Bathinda and Shri Ganganagar. Train number 14735, Shri Ganganagar-Ambala service, will depart from Bathinda on February 15, meaning it will be cancelled between Shri Ganganagar and Bathinda.
Route has been altered for some services. Train number 19612, Amritsar-Ajmer Express, will be operated via a changed route through Tarn Taran Jn.-Beas on February 15, 2024.
Meanwhile, the 'Delhi Chalo' march of farmers against the central government entered its third day on Thursday. A meeting between farmer unions and central government is scheduled at 5 pm on Thursday to discuss their demands and issues. The earlier meetings, held before the march began, remained inconclusive.
The farmers have put forth 12 demands before the central government for which they are marching to Delhi. The demands includes a law on MSP, loan waivers and implementation of the Swaminathan Commission recommendations etc.
On Wednesday, there was a standoff between the protesters and police at the Punjab-Haryana border and more clashes between the two sides were witnessed. At Shambhu border point near Ambala, there was intermittent shelling by security personnel at the 'Delhi Chalo' protesters. Tear smoke was used whenever any group of farmers moved towards the barricades. While, security personnel faced stone-pelting from the protesters.
Farmer leaders claimed that over 100 protesters were hurt on Tuesday, hit by rubber bullets and tear gas shells. While, police said 24 of their own men were injured in the stone-pelting by protesters during the first day of the protest.
