Delhi-NCR is expected to experience a prolonged spell of rain and cloudy weather over the next few days as pre-monsoon activity intensifies and the southwest monsoon advances towards the Indian mainland. According to forecasts, intermittent rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds are likely to affect the region through Friday, bringing much-needed relief from the summer heat.
IMD Issues Yellow Alert for Delhi-NCR
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Thursday and Friday, warning residents about light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. Wind speeds are expected to range between 40 kmph and 50 kmph, with occasional gusts reaching up to 60 kmph in some areas.
