Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday inaugurated the new Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here.

Terminal 3 or T3 as the new airport building is called, will also be the 5th largest airport in the world. The airport will be able to handle 34 million passengers every year.


The prime minister unveiled a plaque to mark the opening at about 10.40 a.m. at a function also attended by United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
