The woman died in the ICU of privately-run Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in the wee hours of Tuesday morning after being admitted on Sunday. The patient was brought to the hospital with high fever in a serious condition, said Jagdish Naik, a relative of the deceased patient. &ldquo;She was suffering from high fever for the last one week and was being treated by a local doctor. Doctors say that there has been a surge in the number of dengue cases as compared to the last two years. Commenting on the various media reports that claimed there has been a sudden spurt in the number of dengue cases in Goregaon&rsquo;s Shashtri Nagar area, additional municipal commissioner Manisha Mhaiskar said, &ldquo;After sending a team of BMC employees to the spot, we have found 12 breeding spots inside various flats in that area.
