Deposit refund for MHADA applicants

MHADA has begun refunding deposit amount to over 2,800 applicants; around 800 applicants provided incorrect bank details
Over 2,800 applicants who did not win the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) lottery this year have some reason to cheer. The Authority has begun the process of refunding money to applicants.u00a0
Refund of deposits has been pending for 2,841 applications, worth Rs 7,54,40,000, for reasons varying from wrong account numbers, wrong bank details, difference in name of the beneficiary, non-existence of the account, incomplete account number, account being closed and so on. All applicants had opted for electronic clearing system mode for refund of deposit.
