Well, s/he should have. Last fortnight's rain patterns led to a drop in vegetable and fruit prices at the APMC market
Two days ago, if you bought cabbage for Rs 24 per kg and tomatoes for Rs 24 per kg, know that your vendor cheated you.
Ten days ago, heavy showers in rural Maharashtra led to a large supply of vegetables to Mumbai’s Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) market in last few days, bringing down prices of few vegetables to just Rs 3 to 4 per kg. The supply brought down the prices of vegetables at the APMC market but the prices remained unchanged at the retail markets.
