The girls told the police that they were leaving for tuition classes when a man visited their home around 9 am.
When the girls returned home, they found the door closed. Repeated knocks on the door failed to elicit any response. That is when the girls informed the society members who in turn called the police control room.

The Wanawadi police reached the spot around 5.30 pm. The police forced open the door of the flat and found the maid Sanju lying motionless on the bathroom floor with her hands tied behind. The police said the maid was strangulated with the help of a nylon rope.
