After a forced vacation of six days, students from Mohammadwadi's Delhi Public School (DPS) will finally go back to school today. Since Thursday last week, classes for students from nursery to Std III, and a few exams for higher standards had been cancelled, after the entire transport staff of the school had gone on strike. The management has now hired buses from another transport agency, MiD DAY has learnt. Hundreds of children travel through the school bus, and owing to the sudden strike called by employees of transport agency appointed by school authorities, the latter was forced to suspend classes for lower graders. "The school has even apologised in advance stating that some delays or confusions might happen. They have requested us to use the hired buses and not drop children to school on our own. They have even given us mobile numbers of a control room that they have set up, where parents can call in case of confusion," said a parent.
