By-elections for 8 assembly constituencies across 7 states, UTs scheduled for November 11

"The assembly bypolls in J-K, Odisha, Jharkhand, Mizoram, Punjab, Telangana and Rajasthan will be held on November 11; the counting of votes will be done on November 14," Kumar said at a press conference in Delhi

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday announced that by-elections for eight assembly constituencies across seven states and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be held on November 11 with the counting of the votes scheduled to be held three days later.

The by-elections are being conducted to fill vacancies arising from resignations, deaths, or disqualifications. The by-elections will be held on the following seats:
