Melbourne: An Emcee of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's high-profile community reception in Sydney on Monday landed herself in a controversy after a pageant organiser alleged that she falsely represented herself as a winner of Miss India Australia title.

"It is to bring to your kind notice that Rashi Kapoor has promoted herself through number of Australian and international Media that she is the host for the Community Reception at Sydney Allphones Arena is current year's Miss India Australia," Miss India Australia Corporation said in a statement.
