The police is considering booking the suspects under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act, which provides for imprisonment for at least one year as soon as a person is booked under it, Police Commissioner Satish Mathur told reporters yesterday that the suspects arrested in Sadik’s murder had been indoctrinated. “We are exploring the possibility of applying the stringent MPDA act against these suspects,” he said.
