Pic/Ramesh H S Doreswamy, was suffering from blood pressure and diabetes and was bedridden and being treated at the MS Ramaiah Hospital.u00a0 Doreswamy alleges that Lavakumar, a chronic alcoholic was trying to grab his property, and with this intention he hired Manjula, a maid, to take care of the household chores and nurse Doreswamy. Doreswamy realised his son's 'diabolic' plan when he came to know about an alleged illicit relationship between his maid, Manjula and his son. His doubts got confirmed when he overheard their conversation April this year as Lavakuma was directing Manjula to administer a heavy dose of medicine to Doreswamy to eliminate him without creating a doubt. Doreswamy mustered courage and confronted his son. Lavakumar admitted to the charges, and forced him to sign blank papers to execute a gift deed and a general power of attorney to make him a caretaker of the property. Forced to sign Doreswamy allegedu00a0 that the accused forced him to sign the papers, or else he would have killed him.u00a0 Sensing trouble, Doreswamy managed to escape from the house and took shelter in his second son's house. Enraged over the failure of his plan, Lavakumar beat up Manjula and later admitted her to the KC General Hospital. Meanwhile, Doreswamy also alleged that Lavakumar, along with his associate Sundar Reddy, tried to withdraw Rs 2 lakh from his (Doreswamy's) account, but Doreswamy managed to stop the payment after he complained to the branch manager. Doreswamy filed a complaint with the Sanjay Nagar police, but instead of taking action, the police foisted a false complaint against Doeswamy's other children accusing them of assaulting Manjula. Doreswamy alleges that inspector Nagraj M has misused Manjula's medical report to use against Doreswamy's children who are nowhere connected to this case. Doreswamy even approached city police commissioner seeking protection. Despite a recommendation, the police failed to register complaint, he said. Last resort After running from pillar to post, Doreswamy Naidu has now approached the VIII Additional Metropolitan Magistrate against the commissioner of police, deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner and inspector of Sanjay Nagar police station seeking court's directions to the police to investigate the mater. Based on the court's directions, the Sanjay Nagar police on December 22, have taken up the case which includes respondent as the station in-charge of same police station and other senior officers.
