Five IAF personnel killed as AN-32 transport aircraft crashes at Assam's Jorhat airbase

Five Indian Air Force personnel were killed after an AN-32 transport aircraft crashed while landing at Jorhat airbase in Assam and burst into flames. The IAF confirmed the tragedy, expressed condolences and said crash site management and preliminary enquiries are underway

At least five IAF personnel were killed after an AN-32 transport aircraft met with an accident while landing at the Jorhat airbase in Assam and burst into flames on Saturday, defence officials said.
The Indian Air Force, while taking it to social media handle X, said, “The Indian Air Force deeply regrets the loss of five personnel in the An-32 accident at Jorhat, Assam.”
