The Chatushringi police have booked Kalayani Deshpande and two of her accomplices for allegedly forcing a Mumbai-based model into prostitution by promising her a lucrative modeling offer.
Deshpande has several cases of flesh trade and running a prostitution racket registered against her in the city. The 23-year-old model, who managed to run away from Deshpande’s bungalow in Pashan-Sus Road on Saturday, approached the police station and lodged a complaint. Deshpande and her two accomplices, Ravi and John, have been booked under various sections including Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act. However, all three are absconding and the police have intensified the manhunt to track them down.
