Former Additional CP, CA, get 5 years in jail in bribery case

Special ACB court convicts former additional police commissioner AK Jain and his accountant in a 2000 graft case filed by his then subordinate; duo fined Rs 1.5 lakh each
In a historic ruling, a former additional commissioner of police in the city was convicted on Wednesday by a special Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in a 13-year-old corruption case. AK Jain, a 1982 batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre, and his chartered accountant Prasanna Lodha have been sentenced to five years of imprisonment and have been fined Rs 1.5 lakh each.
