Former Trinamool Congress leader Asif Khan who had lashed out at a section of the party leadership and accused them of being involved in the Saradha chitfund scam, was today arrested for his alleged involvement in a cheating case
Kolkata: Former Trinamool Congress leader Asif Khan who had lashed out at a section of the party leadership and accused them of being involved in the Saradha chitfund scam, was today arrested for his alleged involvement in a cheating case.
"We have arrested Asif Khan from his Tiljala residence this evening in connection with a cheating case in a land deal in the Rajarhat-New Town area. He will be produced before a court at Barasat tomorrow," said Deputy Commissioner, detective department, Bidhannagar police commissionarate, Kankar Prasad Barui.
