Companies break free of two-year-old policy of not hiring fresh graduates
Job-seekers rejoice. Companies have finally started recruiting fresh graduates after a lull of two years. Job consultants confirmed that in Bangalore alone there are over 7,000 jobs in over 100 companies for graduates.
In fact, a placement drive that covers six colleges in Bangalore is underway.
"Companies want to recruit fresh graduates with cost-cutting on their minds. Many are also making a conscious attempt to recruit younger employees into their teams," a job consultant told this reporter.
