Electricity supply has been introduced in Tumarkothi village in Gadchiroli district, marking a significant step in improving access to basic infrastructure in one of the region’s most remote and underdeveloped areas. The initiative was implemented on April 27 through coordination between the district police and the Maharashtra State Electricity Board.
Tumarkothi, located in the Hedri subdivision, has long faced challenges due to its difficult terrain, limited connectivity, and security concerns linked to its location in a Maoist-affected zone. Officials said the electrification is expected to improve living conditions and support essential services in the village.
