In a major breakthrough in alleged fake encounter of Haryana based gangster Sandeep Gadoli, the Mumbai crime branch on Thursday has arrested his girlfriend and her mother from Delhi.

Gadoli's girlfriend Divya Pahuja was sole eyewitness in the case and she was present in the hotel room where he was killed by team of Haryana police.
On February 7, team of eight cops from Gurgaon police in Haryana including two inspector carried encounter in Andheri west hotel. The Gurgaon police claimed that Gadoli back fired on them but investigation by the local police and later by the crime branch revealed that Gadoli was killed in cold blood. Mumbai police commissioner had even appointed separate SIT to investigate the case.
According to crime branch source, after stay on arrest of accused in alleged Gadoli fake encounter case was lifted by the court, two teams of crime branch was sent to Delhi and Gurgaon to nab the accused.
A crime branch source said, "Everytime we went to nab them they would give us a slip, finally we arrested Divya and her mother from Delhi." However midday could not confirm, as they could even have surrendered before the cops.
Another police source said that currently the crime branch team is with Divya and her mother are at Delhi airport and by night they will be brought to Mumbai and on Friday the cops will produce her in Mumbai court to get police custody and further investigations.
Sub inspector Pradyuman Yadhav, constables, Paramjit Ahlawat, Deepak Kumar, Vikran Singh and Jitender Yadhav are policemen from Haryana who are booked in the case, while Divya and her mother are too accused in the case.
A police officer said, "Divya played key role in encounter. She gave exact location and information to her mother and her mother gave to Gurgaon cops who later carried the fake encounter."
