Cops raid Nilesh Ghaywal's Kothrud home while he was visiting his kin yesterday

Gangster Nilesh Ghaywal (34), key accused in the murder of Sachin Kudale at Dattawadi, was arrested from his Kothrud home yesterday with two of his accomplices Rupesh Amrale (24) and Sagar Jogavade (20).

Ghaywal was visiting his family at their Kothrud residence when the police carried out a raid on a tip-off.u00a0 He had been on the run since May 8 when Kudale was found murdered.

"We are investigating who sheltered Ghaywal for the last two months," said Inspector Bhanupratap Barge.
With these three arrests, the number of people held in this case has gone up to 27.

Ghaywal's gang allegedly shot Kudale and injured his younger brother, Atul (24), who was the main target. The brothers were from the rival Gajanan Marne gang.

Yesterday's arrests were made by a special investigating team led by police inspectors Bhanupratap Barge and Suresh Kekane.
