Government urges to stop panic buying; petrol and diesel supply normal across country

The government has clarified that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or LPG in India despite panic buying and rising fuel demand. Officials said fuel supply is being maintained at all retail outlets while India continues crude oil imports, including from Russia

Amid the alleged energy crisis across the country, a senior government official on Thursday said that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or LPG in the country. The government official further stated that petrol pumps that are not giving fuel or giving fuel in reduced quantities are being pulled up.
As reported by IANS, the Indian government is receiving feedback about petrol pumps across India, and a full supply of fuel is being maintained at all retail outlets.
