President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday expressed her condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the Gujarat bridge collapse and extended prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.

In a message posted on X, the President wrote, "The news of the death of several people in a bridge accident in Gujarat's Vadodara district is extremely tragic. I express my deep condolences to the bereaved families. My prayers are that all those injured in this accident recover quickly."

गुजरात के वडोदरा जिले में एक पुल-दुर्घटना में अनेक लोगों की मृत्यु का समाचार अत्यंत दुखद है। मैं शोक संतप्त परिवारजनों के प्रति गहन संवेदनाएं व्यक्त करती हूं। मेरी प्रार्थना है कि इस दुर्घटना में घायल हुए सभी लोग शीघ्र स्वस्थ हों।
