A special team of Gujarat police personnel has arrived in the city to review the security measures that have been taken for Bharatiya Janata Party&rsquo;s (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. File pic The special team comprising a police inspector and his staff will stay here till Modi leaves the city after the scheduled programme.u00a0The special team is already taking stock of the security arrangements at various places where Modi is expected to stop and stay during his visit. Police Inspector A M Patel, in-charge of the Gujarat police team, said, &ldquo;We have reviewed the necessary security measures and will stay here till Modi leaves the city after his scheduled program,&rdquo; said Patel. Patna effect The move comes after the Patna incident wherein five persons died and 83 were injured in seven serial bomb blasts prior to Modi&rsquo;s rally on Sunday. The incident is seen as a major security lapse in the basic security arrangements for the mammoth event. Moreover, the blasts are suspected to be handiwork of terror organisation Indian Mujahideen (IM). IM has deep roots in Pune, and in 2008 the Mumbai Crime Branch busted the media module of IM in the city. The city has also in the past used for providing logistical support during terror activities carried out by IM in various parts of the country in the last five years. Meanwhile, the city police have also beefed up security arrangements for Modi&rsquo;s visit. A Quick Response Team (QRT) and a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) teams will be deployed at the venue. The Gujarat police team also had a meeting with top city police officials regarding the security measures, said a police source. u00a0
