10 held as Guj Police busts interstate cyber scam of Rs 53 cr; mule accounts supplied to Baba Siddique murder accused

Gujarat’s CID Crime has busted an interstate cyber fraud racket involving more than Rs 53 crore and 132 complaints nationwide, arresting 10 accused from Anand and Ahmedabad. Investigators say some mule accounts used in the scam were also linked to accused in the Baba Siddique murder case

An interstate cyber crime racket involving fraud of over Rs 53 crore and linked to 132 complaints across the country has been busted, with 10 accused arrested from Anand and Ahmedabad, Gujarat’s Cyber Centre of Excellence (CID Crime) said on Tuesday.
Acting on instructions to intensify action against rising cyber offences from DGP K.L.N. Rao, a team was constituted under the supervision of Superintendents of Police Dr Rajdeepsinh Zala, Sanjay Keshwala and Vivek Bheda.
