The Indian Railways has achieved a major milestone in healthcare support by successfully transporting a live heart for the first time through a train, an official statement said on Friday.

The organ was carried from Surat to Ahmedabad on the Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20901) for a life-saving transplant procedure.
