The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has installed water pumps in areas prone to water accumulation. Traffic in many parts of the city was seen moving slowly. Commuters bore the brunt of the incessant rainfall with railway platforms being crowded and roads getting flooded.

After long spells of little or no rain, the city witnessed heavy rains today affecting rail and road traffic.
