Himachal CM helps 2 from landslide-hit village

For two boys of a landslide-hit village in Himachal Pradesh that has been cut off from the rest of the state since Sunday, visiting Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh proved to be the saviour on Friday

Officials said that the chief minister landed at Pooh, some 320 km from state capital Shimla, to review the ongoing relief and rehabilitation work. Boys Thupton Negi (17) and Hamesh (14) met him and apprised him about their urgency to reach Chandigarh for an exam on Sunday.
The boys accompanied Singh in his chopper to Rekong Peo, from where they were flown to Rampur town.
