Hindu organisation opposes quota for Marathas, Muslims in Maharashtra

Panaji: A right wing organisation today opposed the reservation for Marathas and Muslims approved by the Maharashtra Cabinet.
Maharashtra government had yesterday approved 16 per cent reservation for Marathas and five per cent for Muslims in government jobs and educational institutions. "Several Maratha organisations have been in touch with us and they don't want reservations," Hindu Janajagruti Samiti's (HJS) national spokesman Ramesh Shinde claimed while talking to reporters here.
