Amethi: The husband of a village head was strangulated to death by unidentified persons in Sangrampur area in Amethi, police said on Wednesday.

The body of Virendra Pal alias Ramu Pal, 42, whose wife Sunita Pal is the head of Dhoye village, was recovered near Madauli village on Wednesday morning, Superintendent of Police Heeralal said.
