IMD predicts below-normal monsoon rainfall across most of India this year

Apart from the Northeast, the remaining parts of the country may see below normal rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said

The June-September southwest monsoon seasonal rainfall over India is expected to be 90 per cent of the long-period average with a model error of 4 per cent, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday.

Apart from the Northeast, the remaining parts of the country may see below normal rainfall, it said.
